The Vergennes Area Lions Club is a member of Lions Club International . The Vergennes Area Lions Club was chartered in 1954, sponsored by the neighboring Middlebury Lions Club. The International Association of Lions Clubs logged 20 members into the record book when our club was first established and we currently have over 80 members!
This club meets twice monthly and works year round to provide service to to The Vergennes area. We pride ourselves on growing in membership and meeting the needs of our community.
Our many projects contribute to those with handicaps, students needing financial assistance, and fund-raising for the main goal of the Lions International Clubs: Prevention of sight loss.
The Lions Club is the World largest service organization with over a million men and women in 202 countries. We are inclusive of all ages, both sexes, political affiliation (and just about any other way you divide people).
